Fiona was passionately fond of animals, especially cats. Her cats are being re-homed by Newbridge Cat Rescue & Rehoming Centre in Cleobury Mortimer. They have no paid staff and are entirely dependent on donations. http://ncrrhc.weebly.com/
Fiona spent a large part of her life working with offenders. This began when she taught English at Birmingham's Winson Green prison. Prison officers observing her lessons persuaded her that she would make a good probation officer, so she took courses including a degree course and worked as a probation officer for 18 years, So, if you would like to support this aspect of her work, please consider donating to Halow Birmingham, who run the visitors' centre at Winson Green. https://halowbirmingham.org.uk/
